For Tycho, Further research into signet ring carcinoma.

Tycho had metastatic colon cancer, a signet ring cell carcinoma.

It was discovered when he was 20 years old, after which he underwent a series of treatments and surgeries. 

After eight rounds of chemotherapy, he thought he was cured and spent a few years trying to rebuild his life. He started studying, dreamed of living in Berlin, and above all wanted to spend time with friends and family, celebrate birthdays and go out. 

However, in 2024 things went wrong again. He developed pain and abnormal blood test results. Cancer was found again in his hip, and this time it was truly serious. Every week it became clearer that the disease was spreading to more places: hip, back, lymph nodes, pancreas, and meninges.

By participating in „Over my dead body“ (Over Mijn Lijk, a Dutch documentary series about young adults who are dying from a disease, mostly cancer) Tycho wanted to share his story and give a voice to people in the same situation. He wanted to convey that we should enjoy the small things in life, look out for one another, be more understanding towards each other and to feel blessed with what we have. 

Tycho Noah Foundation

Tycho’s parents promised him that his story would not end with his passing. They want his strength, humor, and zest for life to live on and inspire others. 

That is why they founded a foundation in his name. With this foundation, they want to raise money so that medical science can continue to research and improve treatments. 

The funds they collect go to the Radboud Oncology Fund, which is dedicated to researching better treatments and offering more perspective for people with cancer. 

In this way, Tycho’s wish to help others and leave something lasting behind becomes reality.
